Karol G leads nominees at 2026 Heat Latin Music Awards

The Heat Latin Music Awards has unveiled its 2026 nominees, with Karol G leading the pack.

With 10 nods, the Colombian singer is nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Urban Artist, Album of the Year for Tropicoqueta, and Best Viral Song for Bby Wow, among others.

She’s followed by nine-time nominee Bad Bunny, and Carlos Rivera and Shakira with seven nods each.

Among the 14 nominees for Best Male Artist are Bad Bunny, Feid, Carlos Rivera, Maluma and J Balvin.

Best Female Artist is also being contested by 14 artists, including Karol G, Shakira, Rosalía and Anitta.

The Heat Latin Music Awards, formerly known as Premios Heat, were held in the Dominican Republic from their founding in 2015 until 2024. Since then, the show has expanded to new locations outside the DR. In 2025, it was held in Medellín, Colombia, and this year it will be hosted for the first time in Mexico, at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Centre in Jalisco.

“Jalisco is not simply providing us with a venue; it is giving us a home and a place to come together once again around music,” Diana Montes, general director of the Heat Latin Music Awards, gushed in a statement.

“We arrive with 10 years of Latin American history, and here we have found the hands that know how to bring it to life.”

Colombian star Beéle was the big winner at the 2025 Heat Latin Music Awards.

This year’s gongs will be handed out on 5 November in a show hosted by Dominican actor Caroline Aquino and Mexican television personality Karime Pindte.
