LCD Soundsystem announce 12-night 2026 New York City residency

LCD Soundsystem have announced a 12-night residency in New York City for the end of this year. Find all the details below.

The band began their annual year-ending stints in NYC in 2021, after hosting a multi-show takeover at Brooklyn Steel in 2017.

James Murphy and co. played 12 dates at the Knockdown Center in Queens, New York, last November and December. The shows saw them dust off 2005’s ‘Too Much Love for the first time in 14 years.

Now, LCD have confirmed that they’ll be returning to both Brooklyn Steel and the Knockdown Center to see out 2026.

They’ll host 12 performances overall, kicking off with four nights in Queens on November 19, 20, 21 and 22. The group are then scheduled to play Brooklyn Steel on November 30, December 1, 2 and 3.

To conclude the residency, they’ll head back to the Knockdown Center for four gigs on December 10, 11, 12 and 13.

LCD’s November 30 date will mark their 100th NYC residency show. On the official announcement poster, the band promised a selection of guests and DJs for the “100 NYC residency show blowout”.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am ET next Friday (October 9) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale at the same time on Wednesday (October 7) by registering here. A pre-sale for American Express customers begins at 10am ET on Tuesday (October 6).

LCD Soundsystem’s New York City residency dates for 2026 are:

19 – Knockdown Center, Queens
20 – Knockdown Center, Queens

02 – Brooklyn Steel, Brooklyn
03 – Brooklyn Steel, Brooklyn

11 – Knockdown Center, Queens
12 – Knockdown Center, Queens
13 – Knockdown Center, Queens

Meanwhile, LCD Soundsystem are opening for Harry Styles in Rome next summer as part of his ‘Together, Together’ tour. Styles’ fourth solo album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’, was inspired by him seeing LCD live. Earlier this year, frontman Murphy appeared at the pop star’s edition of Meltdown in London.

The band recently wrapped up a North American tour, which included stops at festivals such as Shaky Knees and Just Like Heaven.

LCD Soundsystem hosted a residency at the O2 Academy Brixton in London last year, and co-headlined the Hollywood Bowl with Pulp.

The group haven’t released an album since their 2017 comeback record ‘American Dream’, which itself ended a seven-year break following 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’. It was previously reported that LCD would drop a new LP in 2025, shortly after they shared the single ‘X-Ray Eyes’.

Murphy later gave an update about the progress on the album, saying: “So there’s a new LCD song called ‘X-Ray Eyes’. It’s the first single of what’s shaping up to be a new LCD Soundsystem album.

“Don’t ask me when that is, because we are still working on it. But it feels very good to be putting out new music.”

The frontman went on to reiterate that “there is no finished LP yet”, adding: “But when we are not playing shows, it’s getting closer and closer to completion. So that’s the news. Anything else you hear is bullshit speculation.”

A standalone single called ‘New Body Rhumba’, from Noah Baumbach’s film White Noise, arrived in 2022. That same year, Murphy shared a lengthy Facebook post explaining the band’s decision to focus on residencies rather than bigger shows.
