Following a scheduled fallow year in 2026, the iconic festival is set to return to Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, running from 23 to 27 June 2027. The initial batch of coach tickets went on sale at 18:00 BST on a Thursday and were snapped up in record time, prompting festival organisers to announce the swift sell-out on Instagram.
General admission tickets for the 2027 event are priced at £408. Speaking to the BBC, Jessi Dimmock from the festival podcast Glasto Cast acknowledged that music fans might wince at the higher price tag, noting that ticket costs now begin with a four instead of a three. However, she emphasized that the unique experience remains unmatched. “Anyone who has been to Glastonbury, it is magical,” Dimmock told the BBC. “It’s just chaos in the best way… you can’t count how much it is worth it for that money.”
Organisers also introduced a fresh approach for ticket buyers this season. To streamline the process, fans were required to enter their pre-registration numbers upfront before joining the virtual queue, closing a loophole that previously allowed multiple browsers to secure extra spots. Registration closed ahead of the sale, though those who missed out can still look forward to a spring resale.
Meanwhile, music enthusiasts are already speculating about who will headline the famous Pyramid Stage. While fans heavily buzzed about a potential appearance by Oasis following the announcement of their 2027 tour dates, festival organiser Emily Eavis directly debunked those rumours on social media, confirming the Britpop giants will not be playing Worthy Farm next year. The official 2027 headliners remain unconfirmed.
