Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Spends 14th Week Atop Billboard 200

Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl spends a 14th nonconsecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart (dated Oct. 17), earning 93,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending Oct. 8 (down 46%), according to Luminate. The set jumped back to the top of the list a week ago, vaulting 21-1, after it was reissued in a deluxe edition on Sept. 25 with four previously unreleased songs, including the Billboard Hot 100-topper “Patient Zero.”

With a 14th week in the lead for The Life of a Showgirl, Swift adds a milestone 100th career week at No. 1 on the chart across her 15 No. 1s, extending her record among soloists. Elvis Presley has the second-most weeks at No. 1 among soloists, with 67. The total encompasses her 15 No. 1 albums; she is tied with Drake for the most among soloists. Only The Beatles have more weeks at No. 1 (132) and more No. 1 albums (19) among all artists. The Billboard 200 began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in March 1956.

Also in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, Drake’s HABIBTI soars 116-2 (returning to its peak) after it was reissued with four additional songs. The Beatles’ chart-topping Rubber Soul is back on the chart for the first time in more than a decade after an expansive deluxe reissue, as it re-enters at No. 4. Plus, Mac Miller’s The Divine Feminine returns to the top 10, vaulting 159-10, after its 10th anniversary reissue.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 17, 2026-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Oct. 13. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X and Instagram.

Of The Life of a Showgirl’s 93,000 equivalent album units earned in the latest tracking week, SEA units comprise 65,000 (down 52%, equaling 66.64 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks; it falls 1-2 on Top Streaming Albums), album sales comprise 27,000 (up 28%; it moves 5-2 on Top Album Sales) and TEA units comprise the remaining sum (down 90%).

Drake’s HABIBTI returns to its peak position, as it flies 116-2 after it was reissued with four additional songs on Oct. 2. The set earned 71,000 equivalent album units in the latest tracking week (up 506%), with nearly 70,000 of that sum driven by SEA activity (up 497%). The expanded edition of the album, dubbed HABIBTI (FOMO), includes the added tracks “Solar Eclipse” (with Don Toliver), “Quebec,” “Cold Shoulder” (with Toliver and Yebba) and “Classic PT2.” All versions of the album are combined for tracking and charting purposes.

Olivia Rodrigo’s chart-topping you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love falls a spot to No. 3 on the latest Billboard 200 with 66,000 equivalent album units earned (down 2%).

The Beatles’ former No. 1 Rubber Soul returns to the Billboard 200, re-entering at No. 4 after its expansive reissue on Oct. 2 across an array of formats and editions. The album, which topped the chart for six weeks in 1966, has been absent from the ranking for more than a decade. It was last on the chart dated Jan. 16, 2016, and last in the top 10 on the April 9, 1966-dated chart. The album includes familiar favorites like “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown),” “Michelle” and “In My Life.” In the latest tracking week, Rubber Soul earned 58,000 equivalent album units (up 1,626%). Of that sum, album sales comprise 50,000 (up from a negligible sum in the week previous, it reenters at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 7,000 (equaling 7.4 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks; up 144%) and TEA units comprise the remainder (up 691%).

With 58,000 units earned, and 50,000 copies sold, Rubber Soul lands the band its best week by units and pure sales in seven years. The Fab Four last notched a larger week by units and sales when Abbey Road garnered 81,000 units, with 70,000 of that in pure sales, on the Oct. 12, 2019-dated chart following its similar deluxe reissue.

With Rubber Soul re-entering at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, The Beatles score their highest rank on the chart since the Nov. 12, 2022-dated list, when Revolver reentered at No. 4 after its own deluxe reissue.

Notably, with Swift (No. 1), Drake (No. 2) and The Beatles (No. 4) all in the top five together on the new Billboard 200 chart, it’s the first time the three superstar acts have shared space in the top five — or even in the top 10 — in the same week. The trio of acts has the most No. 1 albums among all acts. The Beatles lead with 19, while Drake and Swift are tied with 15 each.

Three former No. 1s are next up on the latest Billboard 200. Morgan Wallen’s The the Problem falls 4-5 (55,000 equivalent album units earned, down 2%); Ella Langley’s Dandelion dips 3-6 (54,000, down 7%); and Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide drops 5-7 (46,000, up 2%). Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving falls 6-8 (35,000, down 1%) and Kahan’s Stick Season is a non-mover at No. 9 (33,000, up less than 1%).

Closing out the latest top 10 is Mac Miller’s The Divine Feminine, which rises 159-10 after it was reissued on Oct. 2 for its 10th anniversary with three additional tracks. The set debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the Oct. 8, 2016-dated chart. In the latest tracking week, The Divine Feminine earned 32,000 equivalent album units (up 218%). Of that sum, album sales comprise 18,000 (up 2,995%, it reenters at No. 4 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 14,000 (equaling 14.68 million official on-demand streams of the set’s songs) and TEA units comprise a negligible sum.
