coach tickets oversold in admin error

Coach tickets to Glastonbury 2027 have been oversold due to an admin error from the festival’s ticketing partner.

The upcoming edition of Glastonbury will be the first back following a fallow year in 2026, and will take place between Wednesday, June 23 and Sunday, June 27. For the first time in Glastonbury’s history, prices have surpassed the £400 mark for each ticket – with general admission tickets costing £408 each, including a £5 booking fee.

The first wave of tickets went live at 6pm BST on October 1, and saw countless fans eagerly joining the long virtual queue to try and nab theirs. Coach tickets sold out in under 30 minutes, and general admission tickets sold out in under 45 minutes when they went live shortly afterwards.

Now, however, it has been confirmed that due to an administrative error from Glasto’s official ticketing partner, more tickets were sold for the coach package than there were seats available.

An email has been sent from See Tickets to customers affected by the blunder, and ticketholders have been told that they will not lose their tickets, but instead have their booking converted into a general admission ticket, with the coach fare refunded.

For those who are affected and want to keep their coach seat, they have until October 31 to make it clear that they are opting in for a coach ticket and do not want to be swapped to a general admission ticket. Some, however, may welcome the change as it allows them more flexibility with how they arrive at the festival, and could let them show up via train or car, rather than exclusively via coach.

See Tickets has confirmed that the error will not have an impact on their festival deposits, and ticketholders can continue to pay the remaining balance for tickets in April, as usual.

Fans who missed out today will have another opportunity when unwanted tickets and those for which the remaining balance has not been paid are offered in the spring 2027 resale.

No acts have yet been officially announced for Glastonbury 2027, although organiser Emily Eavis confirmed in August that all three Pyramid Stage headliners have already been booked.

Early bookmakers’ favourites for headliners have included Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Harry Styles, Radiohead, Fontaines D.C., Muse and The Rolling Stones.

Both Sam Fender and Harry Styles’ recently announced 2027 tour dates that leave a gap over Glastonbury weekend, while Fontaines D.C. currently have the Friday (June 25) open ahead of their two huge shows at Slane Castle.

Speculation around The Rolling Stones has also continued. Ronnie Wood told NME recently that he would play Glastonbury 2027 “at the drop of a hat”, although he admitted he did not know whether his bandmates felt the same way.

Robbie Williams, meanwhile, has announced outdoor shows for the week immediately after Glastonbury, fuelling suggestions that he could be in line for the Sunday Legends Slot.

Two major names have effectively been ruled out. Eavis dismissed speculation around Madonna, saying: “No, it’s definitely not Madonna”, while she later responded to calls for Oasis to headline with: “Not this time!”

Other names speculated for the 2027 line-up include Tame Impala, Kraftwerk, Angine De Poitrine and many more, and the line-up is usually announced in March or April.

The last Glastonbury, in 2025, was headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo, with other major performances coming from Charli XCX, Wolf Alice, Rod Stewart, Doechii, RAYE, Kneecap and Pulp.
