50 Cent has scored a legal victory over Tia Kemp after a judge granted his request for a temporary injunction to protect his 14-year-old son.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a Florida judge issued the temporary injunction, ordering the online content creator and TikTok star to stay at least 500 feet away from Sire, and prohibiting her from contacting him directly or indirectly, including through social media.
Kemp is also prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition and must surrender any weapons in her possession to law enforcement upon being served with the order.
The temporary injunction comes after 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, filed papers on behalf of Sire, claiming Kemp had repeatedly targeted his son online and allegedly called him slow and suggested he was on the autism spectrum.
TMZ reported that Jackson also claimed Kemp posted a photo of Sire alongside a sexually explicit image of a woman his court filing suggested was the boy’s mother, Daphne Joy.
Jackson claimed his attorneys previously sent Kemp a cease and desist letter, but she allegedly responded by posting part of it with the caption, “F you and your lawyers.”
Jackson argued Tia’s behaviour had caused his son humiliation, embarrassment, and mental anguish. The order expires on 3 November, when both sides are scheduled to appear in court for a judge to determine whether to issue a longer-lasting injunction.
The rapper has also filed a $6 million (£4.5 million) defamation lawsuit against Kemp.
Tia Kemp is best known as the former long-term partner of American rapper Rick Ross. The pair share a 21-year-old son.
