This year’s prestigious roster features beabadoobee, Charli xcx, corto.alto, Erykah Badu, Fontaines D.C., Madra Salach, Mandy, Indiana, Phoebe Bridgers, Robyn, Show Me the Body, Shygirl, and The Cure. Representing a wide spectrum of genres—from raw post-punk and neo-soul to cutting-edge electronic and reimagined traditional folk—the selected acts exemplify the station’s commitment to boundary-pushing music.
To mark the occasion, 6 Music is rolling out a multi-platform celebration across radio, BBC Sounds, and BBC iPlayer. Two dedicated one-hour special broadcasts feature insights from music icons and admirers such as Olivia Rodrigo, John Cale, A. G. Cook, and The Alchemist, who discuss the cultural footprint of these twelve acts.
Throughout November, listeners can tune into exclusive guest programming and special broadcasts. Highlights include a four-part Artist in Residence series from Irish folk breakout group Madra Salach, a special Desert Island Disco from Mandy, Indiana on Lauren Laverne’s show, and live sessions with Show Me the Body and corto.alto. Fans can also revisit standout festival sets, including highlights from The Cure’s acclaimed summer performance at Primavera Sound 2026.
Speaking on the line-up, 6 Music’s Music Editor Cam Pia emphasised the critical role of these visionaries: “Artists are at the heart of everything we do. It feels more important now than ever to shine a light on artistry and the community that creates it. From iconic trailblazing returns to the thrill of something completely brand new, we are honoured to celebrate these innovators.”
All special programming, live session archives, and bespoke collections are streaming on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer.
