The historic 50th season of Saturday Night Live kicked off on September 28, and NBC has announced the latest hosts and musical guests rounding out its lineup. On November 9, Mk.gee will make his SNL debut in an episode hosted by comedian Bill Burr. The following week, Charli XCX will juggle both duties as host and musical guest on November 16. She last performed on the show back in 2022.
At the start of this year, Mike Gordon released his debut album as Mk.gee, Two Star & the Dream Police. The musician’s blend of ’80s pop, rock, and R&B has slowly caught on since then and garnered stamps of approval from artists like Eric Clapton. His most recent single, “Rockman,” came out two weeks ago.
Earlier this month, Charli XCX released her new Brat remix album, the aptly titled Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat. The star-studded project includes Lorde, Kesha, Caroline Polachek, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande.
Season 50 of SNL opened with Jelly Roll and Jean Smart, and was followed by appearances from Coldplay, Ariana Grande, Stevie Nicks, and Billie Eilish. This upcoming Saturday, the show will bring back John Mulaney to host and Chappell Roan will make her SNL debut.
