Joss Stone has adopted a baby boy.
The 37-year-old singer has revealed she and her 34-year-old husband Cody DaLuz have welcomed a new member to their family.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Joss – real name Joscelyn Stoker – announced that she and Cody adopted a baby boy named Bear on 25 November.
In the post, the Right to Be Wrong hitmaker shared a heartwarming video showing the phone call when she found out she could take the newborn home as well as footage of her meeting him for the first time at the hospital.
“Happy mummy Mondays . This is what happened to us last Monday,” the British singer began in the caption. “We can not quite believe it. We are in love big time with this little guy.”
Joss went on to share that Cody was also adopted, and expressed her gratitude towards mothers who decide to put their babies up for adoption.
“The reason why Cody even exists is because his bio mum loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him and the same goes for Bear,” she wrote. “Honestly bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve. It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly.”
Joss added that they are “happy” to give Bear a new home, and encouraged her followers to share their own adoption stories.
She concluded the caption, “And please welcome our gorgeous baby boy to this wonderful world.”
Bear joins the couple’s biological daughter Violet, three, and son Shackleton, two.
Joss revealed she and her husband started the adoption process in 2023, the same year they tied the knot.
