Dolly Parton has revealed what is on her Christmas list each year.
During an interview for the December 2024 issue of UK Good Housekeeping magazine, the country music icon spoke about how she goes all out with her decorations for the festive season.
And while Dolly has access to all sorts of designer items, she insisted that she is actually very easy to buy gifts for.
“Everybody says to me, ‘Oh, I don’t know what to get you – what do you buy somebody who has everything?’ And I say, ‘Well, you get ’em something to put it in!'” she smiled. “I’m the easiest person on Earth to buy for because I love costume jewellery and tote bags and purses.”
Dolly went on to note that she starts decorating her home for Christmas in November and turns on the twinkling lights after the Thanksgiving meal is complete.
The Jolene hitmaker also likes to have a Christmas tree in nearly every room in her house.
“Tourists come round and look at the outside of my house, so for their sake, it’s a bit less tacky out there, but inside I can tacky it up any way I please!” the 78-year-old continued. “I have Christmas trees in all the rooms, everything has lights on – and then we add more lights, and then more lights. I change all the décor up – the dishcloths and the curtains.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Dolly revealed that she even has a wardrobe dedicated to her festive attire.
“I have Christmas lights in my hair – I have them everywhere. I wear earrings that light up, a reindeer necklace that lights up, I wear sweaters with Christmas lights on – you push a button and I light up!” she exclaimed.
