The salsa fusion track is featured on new album Debí Tirar Más Fotos
It’s been a busy week for Bad Bunny. On Sunday, the Latin star released his sixth album Debí Tirar Más Fotos to critical acclaim. Now, Bad Bunny has shared the music video for album highlight “Baile Inolvidable.”
In the video, Bad Bunny takes a salsa dancing lesson in a nod to the song’s salsa rhythms. The star is dressed down in a gray matching sweatsuit and sneakers as he struggles to keep up. But a mystery woman, presumably Bad Bunny’s lover, makes him a quick study. By the end of the video, the star is an expert dancer, wearing a blue suit and flip-flops as he laments about his old flame.
Esteemed Puerto Rican film director and actor, Jacobo Morales features in the video as an elder Bad Bunny who is looking back on his life, and remembering the woman who taught him how to dance salsa. This is Morales’ second visual project in collaboration with the Latin singer; he also starred in the Debí Tirar Más Fotos short film.
With Morales’ role, the “Baile Inolvidable” video echoes some of the central themes of the song, and overall LP. At one point on the track, Morales’ voice delivers the following interlude: “Mientras uno está vivo/Uno debe amar lo más que pueda” (“While one is alive/You must love as much as you can”). The interlude snippet was first featured in the album’s short film.
Bad Bunny shared the video after “Baile Inolvidable” briefly topped the Apple Music US Top Songs chart. (As of this publication, the song sits at Number Two). Benito shared how happy he was of the song’s success in an X post, writing in Spanish but translated to English here: “The love, the feeling, the effort and work with which this song was made is felt and was worth it.”
