Aitch has announced a new Netflix documentary following his Mount Kilimanjaro charity climb, titled Aitch: Don’t Be Afraid.
The film will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform on July 26 and is directed by Aaron Fitzmaurice and Harry Tatem.
Aitch: Don’t Be Afraid documents the Manchester rapper’s multi-day ascent of Africa’s highest mountain alongside close friends, family members and members of his team in January 2025.
The challenge was organised to raise money and awareness for the Down’s Syndrome Association, for which Aitch serves as an ambassador.
Inspired by his younger sister Gracie, who has Down’s syndrome, the climb ultimately generated more than £160,000 for the charity, more than doubling the team’s original goal.
According to a synopsis, the documentary will show the physical and emotional realities of the trek, as the group contend with increasingly difficult conditions and the effects of high altitude on their journey towards the summit.
It will also explore Aitch’s relationship with his family and the impact Gracie has had on his life, while highlighting the Down’s Syndrome Association’s work with people who have Down’s syndrome and their families across the UK.
Writing on his fundraising page before the climb, Aitch said: “We want to make a difference to not only Gracie, but everyone in the world with Down’s syndrome, who have as much right to a fully inclusive life as the rest of us.”
Aitch has supported the charity through a number of previous projects. He became an official ambassador in 2022 following the release of ‘My G’, his collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
In 2023, the rapper also completed a 15,000-foot skydive to mark World Down Syndrome Day, raising more than £50,000 for the organisation.
Aitch released his second studio album, ‘4’, in June 2025. Described as a love letter to his Manchester roots, its title was inspired by the M40 postcode where he grew up. The record included collaborations with AJ Tracey, Avelino, Pozer, Tiggs Da Author and Anne-Marie, who appeared on the single ‘LUV?’.
Earlier this year, Aitch was nominated for Best Hip Hop Act at the 2026 MOBO Awards, which were held at Manchester’s Co-op Live. He also performed during the ceremony alongside the likes of Olivia Dean, FLO, Myles Smith and Tiwa Savage.
