Ariana Grande Drops ‘Dangerous Woman’ Outtake on Album’s 10th Anniversary

“Knew Better Part Two” didn’t make it onto the album, but became a fan favorite among Arianators

Arianators rejoice: Ariana Grande has released “Knew Better Part Two” to celebrate Dangerous Woman‘s 10th anniversary. The song is a continuation of the album’s track “Knew Better / Future Boy,” which appeared as the penultimate track of her third record.

Grande originally released “Knew Better Part Two” on SoundCloud back in 2016 following the release of Dangerous Woman. A bouncier take on the track, “Knew Better Part Two” finds Grande looking back on an old flame atop Dangerous Woman‘s iconic trap-pop production.

Grande will release her eighth album Petal on July 31 via BabyDoll/Republic Records. The record was co-written and produced alongside her longtime confidant Ilya, and the lead single “Hate That I Made You Love Me” will arrive on May 29. Pop producer extraordinaire Max Martin is credited on the single. Petal marks Grande’s first album since her Oscar-nominated performance as Glinda the Good Witch in the Wicked films.

Details about Petal have been kept under wraps, but Grande described the album as “a little bit feral.” “It was kind of about breaking up with all different kinds of negative attachments — whether it’s my own monsters in my own head, external voices, things that no longer serve me,” she said. “It was a writing experiment for me to use that as a template so that I could be talking about one thing and sharing something, and people could use it however they want and apply it to their own lives.”

Later this November, the triple threat pop star will appear alongside Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro in Focker In-Law and return to the stage in 2027 for a West End revival of Sunday in the Park With George, playing Dot alongside Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.

Her last album, Eternal Sunshine, was released in 2024. Grande will kick off the Eternal Sunshine Tour on June 6 in Oakland, California.
