Bad Bunny has been crowned Spotify’s top global artist of the year.

To celebrate the rollout of their yearly Spotify Wrapped campaign on Wednesday, bosses at the music streaming service revealed their customers’ listening habits throughout the year.

The Puerto Rican rapper, who will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February, was unveiled as the world’s most-played artist of 2025, with more than 19.8 billion streams.

He was closely followed by Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake and Billie Eilish.

It’s the fourth time the Latin star has held Spotify’s global streaming title, after dominating streams in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Bunny, real name Benito Martínez Ocasio, also topped the global albums chart with his 2025 release, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, while his 2022 album, Un Verano Sin Ti, came in at number 10.

The global top five was completed by the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, Hit Me Hard and Soft by Eilish, SOS Deluxe: Lana by SZA and Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter. The latter three albums were released in 2024.

In the global songs chart, Bunny peaked at number five with DtMF. That list was topped by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’s duet Die With a Smile with more than 1.7 billion streams, followed by Eilish’s Birds of a Feather, APT. by Rosé and Mars and Ordinary by Alex Warren.

In addition, for the sixth consecutive year, The Joe Rogan Experience earned the title of Spotify’s Global Top Podcast.

Listening habits also varied greatly between regions. For instance, in the U.K., Swift was the year’s most popular artist, while Carpenter’s 2024 release Short ‘n’ Sweet and Warren’s Ordinary topped the album and song charts.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., Swift also took first place in the top artist chart, with Bad Bunny in fifth. Kendrick Lamar and SZA had the most popular song with Luther, and Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem was the most-played album.

Spotify users will be able to view an individual summary of their listening habits from Wednesday.
