Bastille announce two massive Yorkshire headline shows for summer 2026

Bastille have announced plans to play two massive headline shows in Yorkshire next year.

The new dates come on the heels of the band wrapping up their ‘From All Sides’ tour – which saw them play across arenas in nine cities and return to the live stage after a two-year hiatus.

Today (Tuesday November 25), they confirm that they have two huge outdoor shows planned for 2026 too. The first will be held on Saturday July 11, and will see frontman Dan Smith and co. headline the TK Maxx presents series at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

For this gig, they’ll be joined by rising British-Ghanaian soul star Nectar Woode, who has gained notoriety through her mix of neo-soul, folk, jazz and gospel genres.

The second planned show will see Bastille head to Halifax to headline the Live at The Piece Hall summer series on Friday August 28. While there, the band will be joined by Carpetman as a special guest – a young Ukrainian musician known for performing under a carpet mask.

Tickets for both the Scarborough and the Halifax show go on sale this Friday (November 28) at 10am GMT. Visit here to buy tickets.

For the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Bastille is the latest name to be added to the series of outdoor shows, joining previously announced artists including CMAT, Bowling For Soup, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Holly Johnson, Scissor Sisters, The Streets, Madness, Paul Weller and James Taylor.

“Bastille have been such an influential band – their recent tour was an amazing celebration of 15 years together,” said Julian Murray, of Scarborough OAT promoters Cuffe and Taylor. “It’s fantastic to be bringing their powerful and distinctive music back to Scarborough – after their brilliant headline show here in 2018. This will undoubtedly be a real highlight of the summer on the Yorkshire coast.”

For the Live at The Piece Hall slot, Bastille joins CMAT, Bowling For Soup and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Holly Johnson, Amy Macdonald, Scissor Sisters and Paul Weller as 2026 headliners. CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL, said: “Hot off the back of an arena tour it’s a major coup to get a band of this calibre to Halifax.

“Indie anthems really don’t come much bigger and better than theirs, and I know they’ll bring an exceptional atmosphere to our award-winning venue. This show will lift our hearts and voices, and seeing The Courtyard come together for some epic musical moments will be incredibly special.”

Last Friday (November 21), Bastille returned with ‘Save My Soul’ – their first new single in three years, which captured a sound reminiscent of their ‘Wild World’ era.

Other new plans for 2026 include a headline slot at next year’s instalment of Alex James‘ Big Feastival, alongside Basement Jaxx and The Streets.

Before then, Dan Smith will also be appearing alongside Paul Weller, The National’s Matt Berninger and more at the Royal Albert Hall next month for the ‘Starry Night’ fundraiser, in aid of homelessness.
