Beyoncé has quashed rumours she’ll go on tour in 2025.
Speculation had grown the Halo singer would tour after her half-time show on Christmas Day, and that the gig was a teaser for a longer run of shows.
On 18 November, the National Football League (NFL) announced Beyoncé Knowles, 43, would be performing songs from her country album, Cowboy Carter, at the highly coveted halftime show for this year’s Christmas Day game.
As the show would take place in Houston, Beyoncé’s home town, speculation grew that the event would mark the beginning of a larger tour for the album.
However, Beyoncé’s longtime representative Yvette Noel-Schure pooh-poohed the idea on 27 November.
“Untrue. Nothing to report here,” the publicist posted to her Twitter/X account. “Whenever there is any news, you will hear it directly from the source first.”
Music publication Hits Daily Double had previously gone so far as to announce the now-debunked tour news, declaring Beyoncé was already “starting to promote her upcoming tour, which should be enormous”, while a source reportedly told the US Sun she was “set to unveil a series of UK stadium gigs for next summer”.
The Christmas Day game, featuring Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans, will air live on Netflix on 25 December.
