In addition to the album and single, Blossoms have announced a massive UK arena headline tour for November and December 2026, marking the biggest live dates of their career. The tour, supported by The Royston Club, will hit major venues including London’s Alexandra Palace and Manchester’s Co-op Live. Following the release of the lead single “Joke About Divorce,” “Meet Me In Love” offers fans another tantalizing glimpse into the forthcoming record. The track shifts the lyrical focus strictly toward romance, pairing an infectious disco groove with backing vocals from fellow British artist Declan McKenna.
Ogden revealed the song was conceived during a productive songwriting retreat in the Lake District alongside Natalie Findlay and Jules Apollinaire. “It’s one of those songs that felt exciting from the moment it arrived,” Ogden shared. “We started messing around with a simple two-chord disco groove and, within a couple of hours, the whole thing seemed to fall into place.”
The cinematic music video for “Meet Me In Love” expands on the visual universe established in their previous release. Shot on 16mm film at Chad’s Theatre in Stockport, the video features a surprising cameo from TV presenter Maya Jama. “We created something that feels like a love letter to old Hollywood, 70s disco glamour and classic Top of the Pops performances,” Ogden explained.
Songs From The Wedding Cake takes its name from a local nickname for Stockport’s iconic Victorian town hall, the venue where Ogden was married. Produced by Shawn Lee at Tilehouse Studios, the 10-track record promises an expansive blend of 80s-flecked funk and dance-floor anthems.
