Britney Spears claims she worked ‘seven days a week for 15 years’

Britney Spears has admitted she is “bitter” about the way she was treated as a young artist.

Returning to Instagram on Sunday, the Princess of Pop posted a video showing her posing in lingerie.

In the accompanying caption, Britney offered insights into her experiences as a pop star and the pain she endured when she was placed under a conservatorship in 2008. The controversial arrangement lasted until November 2021.

“I will admit it, I wasn’t crazy I used to be f**king literally insane, but the ironic part is there’s a madness and a constant rush of just sitting still with the way my heart used to work,” she wrote. “Yes, I’m bitter, all the hours, seconds, time, and secretly, subconsciously knowing my capabilities as a woman. And never even able to fly somewhere just to meet a friend, as I worked seven days a week for 15 years.”

The Toxic hitmaker went on to recall how she held her first “one-dollar bill” around five years ago and started travelling on her own at around the same time.

“I’ve traveled the past six years alone, besides one trip with a friend…15 times a year, with two weeks on each trip that’s a lot of alone time, and I started to wonder, is that healthy,” the 44-year-old mused. “Then I woke up this morning and said, ‘I’m gonna stop questioning myself and let my own legs and spirit be my guide…'”

To conclude, Britney seemingly reflected on relationship with spirituality.

“Maybe there is a God… Maybe He wants to be selfish with me, and He likes me alone, and that’s when it clicked… I need a new pair of shoes (sic),” she added.

Representatives for Britney have not yet commented on the candid post.

Last week, the singer unveiled She’ll Never Be Me, a track she originally recorded for her third studio album, 2001’s Britney, to mark the project’s 25th anniversary.
