BRITs 2026: PinkPantheress named as Producer Of The Year award winner

PinkPantheress has been named as the winner for Producer Of The Year at the 2026 BRIT Awards – making her the youngest ever recipient.

The news was confirmed today (Monday February 23), ahead of the 2026 ceremony taking place this weekend.

For the 2026 edition, the BRITs will be headed to Manchester and hosted at the Co-op Live, marking the first time that the awards ceremony has been held outside of London in its nearly 50-year history.

The decision to name PinkPantheress as Producer Of The Year winner was decided by a select panel of expert judges from the music production sector. With the win, she joins previous winners including A.G. Cook, Calvin Harris, Fred Again.., and Paul Epworth.

She is also the youngest recipient of the prestigious award, which recognises her work in music production, and the first female artist to be presented with the honour.

“As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised,” she shared. “My music production is the thing I’m proudest of, and I’ve worked really hard at it, so I hope this inspires others to pursue their passion.”

Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK added: “PinkPantheress is both an inventive and instinctive voice in British pop right now. As a producer, she’s precise and playful, building bold, boundary expanding sounds that travel beyond the UK.”

“She’s quietly reshaping what modern pop can be, and in doing so, opening the door for a new wave of female producers to step forward. Celebrating her at the BRITs is both timely and significant,” Tang added.

As well as being named as Producer Of The Year, PinkPantheress is also up for two other awards on the night – nominated in Artist of the Year and Dance Act categories.

Other artists being honoured at this year’s BRITs include Jacob Alon, who has been confirmed as the winner of the 2026 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award, and Mark Ronson, who has been recognised for his Outstanding Contribution to Music.

Noel Gallagher, will also be attending the event after Oasis’ huge ‘Live ‘25’ reunion tour, and has been awarded the Songwriter Of The Year award.

Jack Whitehall will return to host for the sixth time, and this year’s trophy has been designed by Matthew Williamson. Leading the way in terms of nominations are Olivia Dean, former NME Cover star Lola Young, Sam Fender, Lily Allen and rapper Jim Legxacy.

Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, HUNTR/X’s EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson, Alex Warren, Sombr, and Rosalía have already been announced as performers, and viewers at home will be able to watch the ceremony live on both ITV and on YouTube.

The recognition for PinkPantheress at this year’s BRITs comes following the huge success of her single ‘Illegal’, which was released as part of her ‘Fancy That’ Mixtape last year.

It went on to be named as NME’s song of the year and described as an “adrenaline-fuelled thrillride” that blends “winking storytelling smarts, artful sampling, cheeky culture-defining quips and dance floor-filling beats”.

When asked by NME why she thought the track had resonated with so many listeners, the producer replied: “I don’t know if it’s anything too deep, other than having a [TikTok] trend for it helped and also the sample is quite timeless. I think the power of the beat itself is what people really like about it.”
