The group hosted ‘BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ In Busan’ at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium in back-to-back performances on Friday and Saturday night (June 12 and 13), marking their first performance in Busan in more than three years.

Following their 2022 concert ‘Yet to Come in BUSAN’, the two concerts this weekend held deep emotional weight for the group, given they were held in the last venue they performed in before mandatory military service forced them into a temporary hiatus.

As well as that, the second night coincided with their official debut anniversary on June 13, something they celebrated with a massive audience of over 110,000 over the two-night run in Busan.

The homecoming performances come after they’ve played over 20 shows across seven cities, since the launch of their tour in April, and saw the world premiere of ‘NORMAL (Korean Ver.)’, the Korean rendition of the original track heard on their latest chart-topping album ‘ARIRANG’.

The setlist saw them sail through tracks inspired by the city with ‘Paldogangsan’ and ‘Ma City’ played on the first day, which was followed by tracks like ‘Ddaeng’, ‘Dimple’ and ‘Magic Shop’ on the second night.

The group made a surprise departure from their encore line-up for the anniversary show, with the first-ever live performance of ‘One More Night’, and fans in attendance were given handwritten cards expressing the members’ gratitude for their support.

In tandem with the concerts, BTS launched ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – BUSAN,’ an urban play park that transformed the entire coastal city into an immersive celebration from June 5 through the end of the month.

Earlier this year, BTS kicked off their huge 2026 and 2027 world tour at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, and broke out tracks from ‘ARIRANG’ for the first time. That gig saw them debut ‘Body to Body’, ‘Hooligan’, ‘2.0’, and ‘Like Animals’, with RM performing seated for much of the set after spraining his ankle in rehearsals.

NME caught the show and gave it four-and-a-half stars, with Rhian Daly writing: “Throughout, it’s clear that they’re still as committed to BTS as before their enforced break for military service, RM referring to decisions they’ve made so they “can keep doing this for a long time”.

“It’s a sentiment that makes the fireworks-heavy final song, ‘Into The Sun’, feel beautifully optimistic – this might be the end of the show, but BTS’ moment in the sun is far from over.”

The current run of shows are the first tour dates from the K-Pop giants in three years and will see them cover 34 regions with 79 live shows, marking their biggest tour yet. Before kicking off, they held a free concert in Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, which was livestreamed to over 190 countries on Netflix and welcomed roughly 104,000 fans – breaking the record for the largest-ever public concert in South Korea.

There are currently only two UK dates on the group’s 2026/27 itinerary, taking place in London on July 6 and 7, 2026.

Other dates include more slots in North America, Asia and Australia, set for later in 2026 and early 2027. Find all ticket information here, UK tickets here, and international tickets here.

‘ARIRANG’ was given a four-star review from NME, which read: “Much of ‘ARIRANG’ negotiates polar ideas – BTS as heroes or normal people, the buzz of the spotlight and the hush of their private worlds, longing for the euphoric parts of life to continue versus wanting to get off of the ride.”

Since it dropped, BTS have unveiled a surprise hidden ‘ARIRANG‘ track, and NME has created what it considers to be the “dream BTS setlist”. Check it out here.
