Cage The Elephant announce 2027 ‘Dying In Reverse’ UK and European tour

Cage The Elephant have announced their ‘Dying In Reverse’ tour, which will see them play across the UK and Europe in 2027.

The shows will be the band’s first dates in the UK and Europe since 2025, which included two sold-out dates at Brixton Academy, and come on the heels of the Kentucky six-piece releasing their new single ‘Beaches In Tennessee’ last month.

Dates kick off at Tempodrom in Berlin on Monday February 8, and include shows in Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, France and more across the month, before then heading over to the UK for six dates.

UK shows commence with a stop at Depot in Cardiff on February 22, and continue with more dates in Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester for the remainder of the month. The run culminates with a massive show at London’s Alexandra Palace on Monday March 1.

“We’re so excited to return to Europe and the UK on this tour,” said frontman Matt Schultz. “The audiences over there have always embraced us, and we can’t wait to come
back and play the new songs!”

Tickets go on sale this Friday (September 11) at 10am local time, and pre-sale options begin on Wednesday (September 9) at the same time. Visit here for tickets and more information.

The title of the tour comes as the band are currently gearing up to release another new single, ‘Dying In Reverse’, from their upcoming album on Thursday (September 10).

More detail about the band’s seventh album will be announced at a later date, and the latest single ‘Beaches In Tennessee’ marked their first new music in two years.

Talking about the creation of the song, Matt said it was a fictionalised account of a mental health crisis he suffered in previous years, something he previously told NME was “extremely traumatic”. Shultz had been detained in a hotel in 2023 for carrying firearms which were only licensed in Kentucky and Tennessee. The arrest, a court found, was the result of psychotic delusions which Shultz had been suffering from as a side-effect of medication he’d been prescribed.

“The arrest, without a doubt, was a miracle,” he told NME in 2024. “It saved my life. Following the arrest I was hospitalised for two months. Then I had six months of outpatient therapy afterwards and I feel completely recovered. But obviously, with recovery, it’s a lifelong thing. You don’t experience something like that and not deal with the scars for the rest of your life, I’m sure.”

Now describing how this new music marks a “new chapter” for Cage The Elephant, the singer shared: “Musically, we always want to reinvent Cage The Elephant. We’ve discovered a whole new side to our band, how we look at things, and how we make art. You’re growing constantly as an artist, and I think we’ve tapped into that growth. I do feel like we’re making the best music we’ve ever made. If anything, it’s definitely the most inspired.”

Last year, the band completed their run as special guests on Oasis’ ‘Live ’25 tour’ and went straight back into the studio.

“The Oasis tour really reignited our fire to dream and continue to dream,” the singer said. “I think we realised there’s still room to evolve and push ourselves, especially in the live realm. That tour added to our overall passion and desire to see this thing through. When it was over, we decided not to take a break… We pretty much went straight into the studio to start making music.”
