Cardi B has claimed the Secret Service gave her a “hard time” at the Super Bowl.
U.S. President Donald Trump attended the Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday and was accompanied by the Secret Service.
However, during an Instagram livestream shortly after the event, Cardi explained that she was inconvenienced by the security measures.
“Yo, I was too f**king mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and s**t,” the Bodak Yellow rapper began. “He was at the Super Bowl today, and they was giving us a hard time. Oh my gosh.”
“The Secret Service was not playing at that motherf**ker,” she continued. “The Secret Service was not playing to get in that motherf**kin’ stadium.”
Cardi did not reveal what problems the Secret Service caused, but did say that one of her shoes was damaged during the event.
“This shoe cost me three bands… All ’cause of Trump,” she told her fans. “Now I like him lesser. Now I like him lesser because you didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl (sic). F**king up my shoe.”
The WAP rapper also revealed during the live that her uncle had been deported, but did not give further details.
“Now he’s gonna have to – well, he definitely ain’t going to do that – bring my uncle back… because my uncle got deported,” she shared.
Cardi’s comments come as the presidential administration has cracked down on immigration in the U.S. since Trump took office on 20 January.
The artist has been open about her disdain for Trump in the past, throwing her support behind former Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
