Announced today, Cassius will appear for the first time in five years to perform a one-off DJ set at the landmark global event of the closing ceremony of the Paralympics at the Stade De France in Paris on 8th September.
Seminal French duo Cassius comprised producers Philippe ‘Zdar’ Cerboneschi and Hubert ‘Boombass’ Blanc-Francard. Together they created some of the most respected, influential and commercially successful French electronic music of all time, contributing significantly to the new wave of dance music now known as ‘French Touch’.
Since Phillipe Zdar’s tragic and untimely death in 2019, remaining member Boombass kept the Cassius name on hiatus until now, with this DJ set expected to be a tribute and celebration in memory of his dear friend and co-producer.
