Charli xcx doesn’t want to tour her Brat album again.

The 34-year-old pop superstar has no intention of hitting the road or doing anything further to extend her Brat era, and admitted that her The Moment mockumentary film about the 2024/2025 tour might be the curtain call on what has been the most successful period of her career to date.

Partaking in Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector series, The Moment director Aidan Zamiri asked if the film signals the end of the era, to which she replied: “It could be, but it also could give it a bit of a boost, I don’t know…

“As long as I don’t have to go on tour and do more stuff… as long as I get to stay at home.”

The Moment became the fastest-selling limited release in studio A24’s history, with more than 50 screenings sold out across major markets.

Demand was so intense that tickets for the one-off Alamo Drafthouse screening, with a live Q+A with Charli xcx and Zamiri, vanished instantly. Fans who missed out were even hunting for seats on resale platforms, with posts popping up across Reddit as buyers scrambled to secure a spot.

Early demographic data paints an even clearer picture of the film’s breakout momentum.

The majority of ticket buyers were under 35, highlighting Charli and Zamiri’s rare ability to mobilise younger audiences and pull them into cinemas for an original, independently made project,

Charli recently admitted she “wants” Brat to “stop”.

The star meteoric success with the 2024 album and has since dived into a slate of film projects – and is enjoying being on a different path creatively.

Speaking at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of the flick this month, she said: “Right now, I’m like — like me in the film — I’m really wanting Brat to stop.”

She continued: “I think for all of us as artists, it’s like, you wanna challenge yourself, and you wanna totally switch the creative soup that you’re in and go and live in a different bowl for a while or whatever, you know?

“I really just want to work with these incredible directors like Aidan [Zamiri, The Moment director], Gregg Araki, Cathy Yan, like who I feel like I can just live completely different lives with.”
