Ella Langley is the most nominated artist at the upcoming 60th annual CMA Awards.
The Choosin’ Texas hitmaker, 27, has had a landmark year thanks to the viral hit and leads this year’s nominations with a massive nine nods, cementing her status as one of country music’s fastest-moving power players.
Miranda Lambert follows with seven nominations, while Kacey Musgraves, Ben West, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Stephen Wilson Jr. each land five.
It’s shaping up to be a heavyweight battle for Entertainer of the Year, with Langley facing off against Luke Combs, Johnson, Stapleton and reigning champion Lainey Wilson. Wilson, who’s also hosting the ceremony, returns to defend her crown after a career-defining year.
Taylor Swift has returned to the CMA Single of the Year race with I Knew It, I Knew You from Toy Story 5, marking her first nomination in the category since 2013. That previous nod came from her feature on Tim McGraw’s Highway Don’t Care.
This is only Swift’s second CMA nomination of the decade. Her last appearance was in 2022, when she was recognised for Video of the Year for I Bet You Think About Me with Chris Stapleton.
The CMAs are also welcoming a wave of first-time nominees, spotlighting the genre’s next generation. Smith Ahnquist, Avery Anna, Jack Antonoff, Tim Cofield, Carter Faith, Austin Goodloe, Muscadine Bloodline, Emily Ann Roberts, Caylee Robillard, Laura Sisk, Joybeth Taylor, Thelma and James, and Ben West all score their debut nominations.
This year’s ceremony will broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 18.
