“It’s a huge moment for us to be the first K-pop group to perform at NBA Crossover,” Cortis says
NBA All-Star Weekend is tapping major names across genres for its annual concert series. On Thursday, the league announced that K-pop boy band Cortis, country breakout Shaboozey, and rapper Ludacris will take the stage during their Crossover event in Los Angeles between Feb. 12 and 15.
Cortis — which Rolling Stone called the “coolest K-pop debut of the year” — will kick things off with an Opening Night performance on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the L.A. Convention Center.
“It’s a huge moment for us to be the first K-pop group to perform at NBA Crossover, kicking off All-Star Weekend,” the band said in a statement. “We’re grateful for the opportunity and excited to hit the stage, connect with fans up close, and officially tip off this incredible weekend.”
On Friday, Ludacris will headline the Michelob Ultra Courtside Concert, celebrating hits like “Stand Up,” “Money Maker,” and the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Back for the First Time.
The series will up on Valentine’s Day with Shaboozey bringing his country swagger to the mainstage for a Nashville-tinged set.
“This year has been quite a ride, and closing out NBA All-Star Weekend in L.A. really feels special,” Shaboozey said in a statement. “I’m a big fan of the NBA, and I can’t wait to bring my energy to such a legendary city and event.”
Tickets are available now on the NBA website. Voting is now open for starters in the game, which will take place at the Intuit Dome on Feb. 15. The event, which is the 75th all star game, marks the seventh time an all-star game has taken place in Los Angeles.
