David Byrne set for “faith-restoring” UK festival exclusive at Latitude 2026

The countdown to the 20th anniversary of Latitude Festival has reached a fever pitch following the announcement that David Byrne will headline on July 24. In what is confirmed to be a UK festival exclusive, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer brings his critically acclaimed Who Is The Sky? world tour to Henham Park, marking one of the most anticipated live events of the summer. Buy Latitude tickets here.

At 73, the Academy and Grammy Award winner is arguably at the peak of his powers. His latest tour has earned a unanimous sweep of five-star reviews from every major UK broadsheet. The Guardian famously declared the spectacle would “restore your faith in humanity,” while The Telegraph noted that Byrne remains at the absolute top of his game.

Supported by a formidable 12-piece band, the show is a career-spanning odyssey that blends avant-garde dance, surreal humor, and cutting-edge musical theatre. Fans can expect a setlist that draws from his legendary work with Talking Heads—including “Psycho Killer,” which Byrne is performing live for the first time in nearly two decades—alongside his solo innovations and celebrated collaborations.

Despite his stature as a global icon, Byrne remains famously focused on the future of music. Speaking ahead of the headline set, he expressed his excitement for the festival’s curation. “Latitude is a wide-ranging festival, and well-curated,” Byrne said. “I’m looking forward to catching The Last Dinner Party and Dry Cleaning on our day!”

For Festival Director Melvin Benn, securing Byrne for the 20th-anniversary celebrations was a major coup. “Everything about this tour—the reviews, the ambition, the crowd reaction—tells me this is going to be one of those nights people talk about for years,” Benn remarked.

As the centerpiece of Latitude’s landmark year, Byrne’s performance promises to be a singular, joyous celebration of five decades of fearless artistry. With no other UK festival dates on his schedule, July 24 at Henham Park is the only place to witness what critics are calling a generation-defining performance.
