DEVO and The B-52s announce huge co-headline UK shows for summer 2026

DEVO and The B-52s have announced two massive co-headline shows, taking place in the UK next summer.

Announced today (Friday November 28), the new dates will see the New Wave legends come together for a gig at The O2 in London on June 20, and at Manchester’s AO Arena on June 21.

Both bands have previously embarked on their respective farewell tours in the past few years, but later decided to keep playing live after joining forces on Saturday Night Live and reigniting demand from fans.

The two UK dates come as an extension to their ‘Cosmic De-Evolution Tour’, which has already seen them take to stages across the US and Canada. For The B-52s, it will be their first time performing live in the UK since 2019, and for DEVO, it comes after the alt icons headed out on their ‘50 Years of De-Evolution Tour’ in 2023.

Joining the two bands at the London and Manchester shows will be Scottish punk legends The Rezillos and fellow New Wave artist Lene Lovich.

Tickets go on sale next Friday (December 5) at 10am GMT. Visit here for tickets and find a list of new shows below.

DEVO and The B-52s UK tour dates are:

JUNE 2026
20 – The O2, London
21 – AO Arena, Manchester

The news of DEVO coming back to the UK comes after the band joined forces with Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and more to feature on the ‘Los Angeles Rising’ wildfire relief benefit compilation album – raising funds for those affected by the natural disaster at the start of the year

Shortly before then, the band’s vocalist, composer and co-founder Mark Mothersbaugh – who also makes music for TV series and scores for movies – revealed that he makes $1million per year from the 20-second-long theme tune for Ridiculousness alone, and the band worked with David Byrne to share an unearthed collaborative song called ‘Empire’.

The latter was originally written by the pair for the former Talking Heads frontman’s fifth solo album, 1997’s ‘Feelings’, but it didn’t make the final cut. A version of the tune appears on Byrne’s 2004 record ‘Grown Backwards’.

As for The B-52s, the band began a Las Vegas residency in 2023, and confirmed that they would be extending the dates into spring 2025.
