Yesterday, Eaux Claires Festival announced its return after 8 years away. Now, the Bon Iver–curated lineup has been revealed. Dijon, Kevin Morby, Lil Yachty, Daniel Caesar, Hotline TNT, and Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore are among the musical acts, as well as Aimee Mann performing Bachelor No. 2. The inaugural class of writers-in-residence includes Sheila Heti, Mustafa, Amanda Petrusich, and Sean Thor Conroe, among others.
The Eau Claire, Wisconsin, event will set up at its new home, the baseball stadium Carson Park, from July 24 to 25. Monica Martin, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas, and the Union feat. Phil Cook are among the other performers, as is an artist suggestively listed as Bon Dylan. (Pitchfork has asked for clarification on that one.) Check out the poster, which is ordered alphabetically, below.
Eaux Claires ran for four years starting in 2015, and routinely featured sets from Justin Vernon and his co-founder, the National’s Aaron Dessner, as well as the extended Bon Iver universe. In late 2018, the festival announced it would take the following year off and return in 2020, one of many plans that went awry thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
