Ela Minus and Nick León Link Up for New Collaborative EP

Ela Minus and Nick León Link Up for New Collaborative EP

Longtime friends Ela Minus and Nick León are joining up for a new collaborative, three-song EP. The Colombian electronic musician and the Brooklyn-based producer will release Qué Les Pasó a Mis Amigos? on August 7 via Domino, but they’re sharing its lead single “Espiral” today. Give it a listen below.

Qué Les Pasó a Mis Amigos? was co-produced by Minus and León, and two of its tracks are sung entirely in Spanish. They invited Guedra Guedra and Brenda to each remix a song, while techno producer Loidis reconfigured the title track, for a 12″ vinyl pressing that will follow on November 20.

“It was so free,” León said of the recording process in a press release. “There were unspoken understandings of what we wanted to do. That’s not normal.” Minus added, “We immediately felt this kinship.”

This isn’t the first time the two artists have worked together. Minus dropped Día, her entrancing second album, at the start of last year, and later tapped León to remix its single “QQQQ.” León then returned the favor by inviting her to work on “Ghost Orchid” from his 2025 album A Tropical Entropy.
