In support of her four-week Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Choosin’ Texas,” Ella Langley brought together a star-studded cast for the heartbreak song’s official video, which premiered Wedneseday (April 1).

Alongside Langley, the video features Yellowstone actor and singer/songwriter Luke Grimes, actress Ava Phillippe (daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe), multiple CMA Award winner Miranda Lambert (who also co-wrote the song) and Oklahoma singer/songwriter Kaitlin Butts. The clip was directed by Langley, Wales Toney and Caylee Robillard and filmed in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Stagecoach Ballroom.

Grimes stars as Langley’s beau in the video clip, as they return to his character’s hometown of Abilene, Texas. As they drive into the town, Langley’s character asks, “Do you ever wish you didn’t leave Texas?”

They stop by a local bar, when Grimes’ character spots a young blond woman (Phillippe) across the room. Subsequent flashbacks reveal that the two had known each other since childhood, and they had previously been in a relationship.

Butts portrays an Abilene local who joins Langley in the bar’s restroom and quietly warns her, “Texas has a way of keeping what’s hers.” Back on the dance floor, Grimes’ character can’t help but see his former lover staring at him, while Langley’s character quickly realizes the connection between the two.

Lambert plays a musician who’s set to head back to Tennessee. When Langley confides that she’s realized her man is falling for another woman, Lambert offers Langley a ride back to Tennessee. Langley’s character agrees, hopping in the van with Lambert. As the van hits the road, through the back windshield, viewers see Grimes’ character walk out of the bar and look around confused, as his now-ex leaves him in the Texas dust.

Beyond Langley, Grimes, Lambert, Phillippe and Butts in their main roles, the video includes cameos from cowboys, ropers, bareback riders and musicians including Dale Brisby, JB Mauney, Shad Mayfield, Tyson Durfey, Shea Fisher Durfey, Leighton Berry, Casey Donahew, Tanner Usrey, Wade Bowen, Mike Ryan and Melinda Donahew.

“Choosin’ Texas” is featured on Langley’s upcoming album Dandelion, out April 10.
