Enter Shikari to play tiny 20th anniversary show in Manchester

Enter Shikari have announced a tiny gig in Manchester next month to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first-ever show in the city. Find all the details below.

The band will take to the stage at the 400-capacity Satan’s Hollow on Thursday April 9. They had first played the venue on April 10, 2006, marking their debut live date in Manchester.

It came ahead of them releasing their debut studio album, ‘Take To The Skies’, in spring 2007.

“Manchester. Twenty years to the day (nearly). Let’s do it all over again,” Enter Shikari wrote on social media today (Tuesday March 24), alongside the official concert poster.

“@satanshollow Thursday 9th April. Just for the hell of it (see what we did there?).”

Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT tomorrow (Wednesday March 25). However, fans are required to pre-register for access before 9:30am GMT tomorrow – you can do so here.

“If successfully registered, you’ll receive an email from Enter Shikari on Wednesday 25 Mar by 10am GMT with full details on how to purchase tickets,” the website reads. “This will include your ticket link that provides access to purchase tickets.”

Tickets will then be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers must be aged 14 or above to gain entry. Find more details here.

In a statement, Enter Shikari said: “Manchester’s a city that means a lot to us. The Satan’s Hollow show back in April ’06 was the first sense we got that ‘something’ was ‘happening’. A queue around the block and total chaos inside.

“We’ve had a lot of memorable shows in Manchester since then (and in November we’ll play our biggest ever UK headline show there!) but for some reason that night at Satan’s Hollow kept coming up in conversation, so the anniversary show was just too tempting.”

Yesterday (Monday March 23), Enter Shikari shared some footage of their very first Manchester show back in ’06.

“A friend of ours sent this to us over the weekend. It’s us, almost exactly 20 years ago, playing ‘OK Time For Plan B’ at our first ever Manchester show in @satanshollow on April 10th 2006,” they wrote.

“Funny to think that this November, Manchester will host our biggest ever UK headline show, across town at the @thecooplive. Both shows with the same promoter, too!” See the video above.

As aforementioned, Enter Shikari’s biggest UK and European arena tour yet is due to take place in late 2026 – including two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Frontman Rou Reynolds previously teased “a completely new show” for the upcoming run, adding: “I cannot say much yet but I can tell you now it will be our most thrilling. To get to play Ally Pally two nights in a row is going to be something of a fantasy. I bloody love that building and we will make sure we have the variety and theatrics to do the place justice.”

Every ticket sold for the band’s UK dates will include a £1 donation to the LIVE Trust – protecting, expanding and supporting grassroots music in the UK. Visit here for any remaining UK tickets and here for international tickets.

They’ll also head out on the road in Australia this May –  visit here for any remaining tickets.

Reynolds caught up with NME backstage at Reading 2025, where he discussed Enter Shikari speaking out in support of Palestine, as well as plans for new music, and the momentum behind the ticket levy to help grassroots venues.

Opening up about new material to follow 2023’s ‘A Kiss For The Whole World’, the frontman revealed that he had been back in the studio, but said this wasn’t to indicate that a new record was imminent.

“It is a very slow process, this one. There are all sorts of life stuff happening too – some exciting, and some difficult – but we’re still working on it and don’t want to rush it,” Reynolds explained. “We’re seven albums deep, so there’s no reason for us to throw out another. We’d much rather think, ‘OK, how can we make the eighth album interesting and exciting for us?’

“We never want to just replicate the same vibes or same musical alleys that we’ve gone down before… But we have got some stuff brewing for sure.”
