Fans Choose Miley Cyrus’ ‘Dream as One’ as This Week’s Favorite Music

“Dream as One,” the new single from Miley Cyrus featured on the Avatar: Fire and Ash soundtrack, tops this week’s fan-voted music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Nov. 14) on Billboard, choosing Cyrus’ latest track as their favorite new release.

“Dream as One” launched during a week that also delivered new music releases from Summer Walker, Lewis Capaldi, Kelsea Ballerini and more. Cyrus’ song brought in 27% of the vote.

Cyrus’ just-released single from director James Cameron’s anticipated Avatar: Fire and Ash is a soaring ballad co-written by Cyrus, Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Simon Franglen, the film’s soundtrack composer. The song will play over the end credits of the film.

“Writing this song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt came straight from the heart,” Cyrus wrote when she announced “Dream as One” on Friday. “Every lyric remembers where we’ve been, reflects where we are, and holds hope for what’s ahead for all of us. It was an honor to create something so personal for a film that connects so deeply with people around the world.”

Avatar: Fire and Ash, the sequel to 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water, opens in U.S. theaters on Dec. 19.

Among the new releases trailing just behind “Dream as One” are Summer Walker’s Finally Over It, with 22% of the vote; Lewis Capaldi’s Survive, with 15% of the vote, and Kelsea Ballerini’s Mount Pleasant, with 6% of the vote.
