Fans have expressed their devastation over news Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have split.
Numerous outlets have reported the Espresso singer has broken up with her boyfriend Barry Keoghan.
“They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” an insider told People magazine.
While Sabrina, 25, and Saltburn actor Barry, 32, have yet to officially acknowledge the news, fans of the couple were quick to express their dismay on social media.
“Omg I’m heartbroken,” one fan wrote on Twitter, accompanied by a string of emojis including the characters for “broken heart” and “sobbing”.
“Bummer. Oh no. Sad to hear,” posted another.
“There is no God,” a fan commented on Reddit.
This week’s break-up news comes four months after the pair was first rumoured to have temporarily ended their relationship, with a source telling People in August they were “on and off”.
Sabrina and Barry first emerged as a couple in December 2023 after they were seen eating dinner together in Los Angeles.
Barry, who appeared in the music video for Sabrina’s runaway hit Please Please Please, had frequently praised his girlfriend for her talent and work ethic.
“I don’t know anyone who works as hard. I’m in awe watching her work and how committed and the standards that she sets,” he told The Jess Cagle Show earlier this month. “Especially being on that music video, just, she knows the vision. She knows what she wants.”
