Lisa began to fuel fan speculation on Wednesday (September 25), when she shared a short TikTok clip of her singing Sixpence None the Richer’s seminal 1997 hit ‘Kiss Me’, with an accompanying backing track that offers a more dance-pop take on the song.
Fans have since linked this to Carpenter, suggesting that the pink outfit Lisa wears in the clip is in line with the aesthetic of the ‘Espresso’ singer’s recent tour wardrobe.
Carpenter then covered the track during a concert in Detroit, Michigan last night (September 26), further stirring rumours of a potential collaboration between the two. It follows the news that she’d ditched fan-favourite ‘Nonsense’ outros in favour of performing new covers each night on her ‘Short N’ Sweet’ headlining tour.

In other news, Carpenter recently announced ‘A Nonsense Christmas’, a holiday variety music special set to stream on Netflix later this year.
She also recently teamed up with Christina Aguilera for a duet of the latter’s ‘What A Girl Wants’ in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Aguilera’s self-titled debut album.
As for Lisa, she’s set to take the stage at this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show, following a six-year hiatus for the formerly annual event. Other performer include music icon Cher and South African singer Tyla.
The K-pop star released two solo singles this year, ‘Rockstar’ and the Rosalía-assisted ‘New Woman’. The songs come three years after she made her solo debut with ‘Lalisa’ in 2021.
She’s also set to make her small-screen debut in the upcoming third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, which will be set in her home country of Thailand. “I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more,” she teased in an interview earlier this year.
