Fergie reunites with Black Eyed Peas at 2026 AMAs as Rock That Body wins Best Throwback Song

Fergie reunited with the Black Eyed Peas at the 2026 American Music Awards.

The band’s 2010 hit Rock That Body was honoured with the all-new Best Throwback Song Award at the star-studded bash at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday (25.05.26).

Fergie was the Where Is The Love? group’s singer from 2002 to 2018 and she looked overcome with emotion as she joined will.i.am, APL.DE.AP and Taboo onstage to collect the award.

She gushed: “Rock That Body, we did it.

“Black Eyed Peas, ‘Rock That Body,’ American Music Awards 2026, let’s go!”

The bandmembers last reunited in December, to celebrate their 50th birthdays.

Black Eyed Peas won over Goo Goo Dolls’ Iris and 4 Non Blondes What’s Up.

In an awkward moment, many took to social media to point out that the audience belted out Iris right before BEP were unveiled as the recipient, only for it to lose.

One user wrote: “So they’re handing out awards for best throwback song and they have the whole arena sing goo goo dolls and then not giving that award to them (sic)”

Another wrote: “Goo Goo Dolls is too much for me, it hurts that they didn’t win.”

Ahead of the ceremony, Black Eyed Peas reacted to the nomination on Instagram: “??We’re honored to be nominated for the 2026 @amas !! ‘Rock That Body’ up for Best Throwback Song… a song we made all those years ago, still making an impact today.”

Elsewhere, the Pussycat Dolls returned for a special performance.

The Don’t Cha hitmakers reunited earlier this year with Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt back in the fold, and they marked 20 years since their 2006 debut at the award ceremony and treated fans to a special medley.

Nicole told the crowd to “make some noise” as the trio kicked things off with 2006 hit single Buttons.

They moved on with new single Club Song, before being joined by Spliff Star and Busta Rhymes as the medley came to an end with Don’t Cha, to the delight of the audience.
