Foo Fighters announce series of intimate shows across London, Dublin and Manchester this week

Foo Fighters have announced a series of surprise shows taking place across London, Dublin and Manchester – find out how to get tickets below.

Having recently teased that fans might be getting some more live shows in the near future, Dave Grohl and co. have announced intimate gigs at Dublin’s Academy on Monday (February 23), London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday (February 25) and at Manchester’s O2 Ritz this Friday (February 27).

Tickets for all shows will be made available in person only, starting from 12pm today at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire for the London gig, Dublin’s Olympia Theatre Box Office, and Manchester’s O2 Ritz – with fans asked to be courteous of neighbouring businesses as they queue.

As detailed on the band’s social media post announcing the surprise gigs, the person attending the event must be present at the time of purchase and bring physical photo ID.

Those planning on buying two tickets don’t need to be accompanied by their guest to both them today, but they must enter the venue together on the evening of the show, or the second ticket will be forfeited. Per the post, no transfers will be allowed.

Ticket prices are set at £99.00/ €99.00, and come on a first come first served basis. For post-purchase details, visit here.

It comes after the band announced a European stadium tour that is set to include two nights at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium at the end of June, and more recenlty shared news of their 12th full-length effort earlier this week (February 19).

Foos’ new record is due for release on April 24, following on from 2023’s ‘But Here We Are’. It’ll also contain last year’s ‘Asking For A Friend’. The album was recorded at home, co-produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, and mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.

Grohl has teased that the new album is stacked with “noisy, loud bangers” that feel like they’re from “the old days”.

In a four-star review of new ‘Your Favorite Toy’ single, NME wrote: “Foos have certainly turned up the heat, shifting to a more thrilling gear when they could cruise down the slow lane to keep things rolling across the stadium and festival circuit this summer.

“Despite having made headlines in recent years for drummer squabbles and infidelity, their comeback single is snarlingly unapologetic. This is not a cap-in-hand call for peace, love and understanding. It’s a middle finger statement of intent: “Nah nah nah!”

The new album is the follow-up to 2023’s ‘But Here We Are’ and it is their first with drummer Ilan Rubin, who recently took on the role after the departure of Josh Freese. The two have in fact swapped groups, with Rubin leaving Nine Inch Nails and Freese rejoining that band.

In addition to the Liverpool shows in June, the Foos will be playing a range of major European shows this summer, as well as a North American stadium tour for the summer, and they have also just announced an Australian and New Zealand tour for late 2026 and early 2027.
