Friday Music Guide: New Music From ZAYN, J. Cole, Tame Impala and JENNIE & More

Billboard’s Friday Music Guide serves as a handy guide to this Friday’s most essential releases — the key music that everyone will be talking about today, and that will be dominating playlists this weekend and beyond.

This week, … Check out all of this week’s picks below:

Nick Jonas, Sunday Best

Nick Jonas kicked off 2026 with the release of his contemplative single “Gut Punch,” which previewed his fifth solo album Sunday Best. The album arrives today (Feb. 6) with the support of new single, and opening track, the acoustic guitar-driven “Sweet To Me.” Sunday Best is Jonas’ first solo project since Spaceman in 2021. As his new album dives in life as a husband and dad, his storytelling “explores honesty, growth and rediscovery,” according to a press release.

ZAYN, “Die For Me”

Following new music from his One Direction bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles, ZAYN is back with major announcements: a new single, a new album and his biggest solo tour. This week, ZAYN announced the upcoming release of his fifth solo album, KONNAKOL, out April 17. He offered a taste of what to expect with lead single, “Die For Me,” an R&B-pop track that would sound right at home on a Fifty Shades soundtrack. Following the album’s release, on May 12, ZAYN will embark on his biggest solo trek to date, including stops in 31 cities across the world.

Tame Impala and JENNIE, “Dracula – JENNIE Remix”

After Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker was spotted wearing JENNIE merch earlier this week, fans began to speculate what it could mean — and they didn’t have to wait long. JENNIE hopped on the band’s latest hit “Dracula” and offers much more than a guest verse (she contributes not one, but two). JENNIE’s vocals and harmonies are woven throughout the entirety of the song, making it feel like wholly collaborative and reimagined. “Dracula” is off Tame Impala’s fifth album Deadbeat, that arrived last October. “Dracula” arrived as the album’s third single and just hit No. 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart (dated Feb. 7).

J. Cole, “Two Six”

In an Instagram post shared on Feb. 4, J. Cole revealed his forthcoming album The Fall Off is “a double album with intentions to be my last” and that it will “bring the concept of my first project full circle.” Led by single “Two Six,” J. Cole comes out with a declaration: “If I wasn’t rapping b—h I might just be the president.” And if this is his last project, he just might have the time now.

sombr, “Homewrecker”

Strategically released just days after the Grammys — at which sombr was nominated for best new artist and performed his hit “12 to 12” during the ceremony — “Homewrecker” signals that he’s already writing his next chapter. The single stays in a similar uptempo pop lane as “12 to 12” (compared to his more pensive hits) and continues his streak as the sole writer and co-producer, alongside Tony Berg, of his music.

Joji, “Hotel California”

Alternative R&B artist Joji returns with his first project since 2022’s Smithereens, which included his Hot 100 hit “Glimpse Of Us.” His fourth album, Piss in the Wind, is his first since splitting with his longtime label home 88rising; his new project arrives on his own label, Palace Creek. And while much of the album is airy and experimental, “Hotel California” is a close cousin to “Glimpse Of Us,” as his delicate vocals narrate a story of love lost.
