Future Islands have announced a tour that will take them all the way from Wilmington, North Carolina, to Carrboro, North Carolina, Asheville, North Carolina, and Greenville, North Carolina, before a final date in (twist!) Baltimore, Maryland. Loosely billed as a hometown tour, the dates will pair the Baltimore-via-Greenville trio with local support acts, including Dan Deacon and Ed Scrader’s Music Beat at that last show. The shows are pegged to a new compilation of rarities and fan favorites called From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth. That will be released digitally, on CD, and as a double-LP on May 22, via 4AD. Of the record, bassist William Cashion says in press materials, “This is for everyone who has carried these songs with them, from the first house parties to the rooms we’re playing today.”
