The Hollywood star revealed the revelation at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Jay Kelly.

Speaking about his time before he was an actor, Clooney opened up about how he was once a driver for his aunt and late singer Rosemary Clooney.

He told People: “I remember being on the road […] I was my Aunt Rosemary’s driver when she was singing. And I hadn’t known her much when I was young because I lived in Kentucky. She was the Hollywood aunt. So I came out to make a living and I was her driver.

“I got to drive [her] and Tony Bennett, and all of these really wonderful singers around for a year. I got a really good life lesson in success and failure, and handling it.”

Clooney then spoke about his clash with Sinatra. “I remember he was mad at me once because I led this boycott about […] some press freedoms, and he called me because people thought he was sick and there were helicopters flying over his [home],” Clooney recalled. “And he called me going, ‘It’s not working what you’re doing!’”

“He was great,” he added. “I got yelled at by Frank Sinatra!”

Clooney also recently revealed that Ocean’s 14 is likely to begin shooting in 2026, with Brad Pitt and Matt Damon likely joining him for the sequel.

2001’s Ocean’s 11, a remake of a 1960 comedy starring Sinatra and The Rat Pack, was one of Clooney’s biggest box office hits. The Oscar winner starred alongside Pitt and Damon as a group of con artists who orchestrate an elaborate heist on a Las Vegas casino.

His latest film, Jay Kelly, which also stars Adam Sandler, is set to hit cinemas on November 14. The comedy recently received four stars from NME’s Matthew Turner who described the film as “easily one of the Hollywood heavyweight’s most enjoyable performances to date.”
