Harry Styles lets the light in with Aperture, his third Official Number 1 single in the UK.

The lead single from his upcoming fourth solo studio album KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY., due March 6.

It comes as the superstar breaks multiple records with his upcoming Together, Together Tour. Harry’s 12-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium connected by EE will surpass Coldplay’s previous 10-night stint, with Harry also breaking the Wembley Stadium record for most concerts performed by a solo artist during a single run in the venue’s history, trumping Taylor Swift’s eight-night stretch in 2024. Catch Harry performing new music at The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard on Saturday, February 28.

And if that wasn’t enough Harry for one week, his former chart-topper As It Was re-enters the Top 40 for the first time since 2024 (28).

We therefore have a week in which the first-ever solo 1D chart double has been completed, after Louis Tomlinson and How Did I Get Here? topped the Official Albums Chart.

Commenting on the feat, Martin Talbot, Chief Executive Officer, Official Charts, says:

“It’s precisely 15 years this year since One Direction topped the Official Singles Chart for the first time with What Makes You Beautiful and, after Robbie Williams last week demonstrated how enduring our pop-group-member-turned-solo-stars can be, it is fantastic to see Harry and Louis topping the Official Charts again this week. A reminder (if we ever needed one) of the timeless appeal of arguably the world’s favourite 21st Century boy band.”

As a band, One Direction scored the relatively rare Official Chart Double back in November 2012, as Little Things and Take Me Home topped the Singles and Albums Charts respectively.

With talk of 2026 being the ‘new 2016,’ Zara Larsson’s latest cut Midnight Sun benefits from a boost, up three to a new best (26).

It’s a 19th Top 40 single for Arctic Monkeys with Opening Night (16). Taken from upcoming War Child Records compilation HELP(2), due March 6, it earns the Sheffield rock stalwarts their highest-charting single in 13 years, since the iconic Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High? in 2013.

Lil Uzi Vert dropped What You Saying back in December, and now we’re saying the track is your highest climber this week, scaling 14 spots to land at Number 27 as it goes viral online.

And, after returning to the Official Singles Chart Top 40 for the first time in over two decades last week, The Cure’s Boys Don’t Cry elevates even further, moving three (36).
