Harry Styles is set to curate the line-up for the 2026 edition of London’s Meltdown festival.

The As It Was singer, who is gearing up to release his fourth solo album, will put together a line-up of arts and music for the world’s longest-running artist-curated music festival, which is now in its 31st year.

The Meltdown Festival will take place at London’s Southbank Centre between Thursday 11 June and Sunday 21 June and form part of the venue’s 75th-anniversary celebrations.

“I’m deeply honoured to curate the Meltdown festival, especially for the Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary year. My goal as the curator is to share the music and art that I love, and to celebrate the rich history of the venue,” Harry said in a statement.

“We both share a passionate belief that music is a vital part of life. It brings us together and the Southbank Centre has been at the heart of it, providing easy access to great music for the past 75 years. I’m incredibly grateful to Southbank for having me, it’s really exciting for me to have this opportunity in such an iconic venue.”

According to the festival’s website, the former One Direction singer will draw on his broad influences, from pop, soul, electronic and rock to underground scenes and emerging young British talent.

Harry will also perform a headline concert at the relatively intimate venue. The rest of the line-up will be announced in the spring.

The centre’s artistic director, Mark Ball, added that they were “thrilled and excited” to have the “iconic British artist” curate the festival.

The global superstar follows in the footsteps of past Meltdown curators including David Bowie, Nick Cave, Patti Smith, Grace Jones, Nile Rodgers, Robert Smith and David Byrne, among others.

Harry is set to release his new album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, on 6 March. He will kick off his seven-city Together, Together tour in May and be on the road until December.

The Meltdown festival falls during his 12-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium in June.
