Harry Styles’s representative has confirmed that his touring team is reviewing the stage layout following complaints about obstructed views.
The Aperture singer kicked off his Together, Together tour at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, over the weekend, and several fans who bought VIP floor tickets to the Saturday and Sunday shows took to social media to complain about their restricted view.
Pictures and videos posted online showed that some fans had their sightline obscured by the three 10-feet-tall walkways circling the stadium’s floor, with the two outer walkways also containing two curved bridges.
Responding to the complaints, an official tour rep told Variety and TMZ, “The floor concept was designed to give fans freedom of movement and the ability to experience the show from different positions, rather than being confined to one fixed viewing angle.”
“That open, free-flowing floor experience has always been an essential part of Harry’s live shows,” their statement continued. “A small area of the staging in specific floor positions appears to have had a restricted sightline. Those areas are being reviewed carefully and adjusted where possible in compliance with all safety restrictions.”
They reportedly encouraged fans to make full use of the space and move to a better position rather than remaining in an obscured spot.
Sources told Variety that the tour team is working on improving the areas with obscured views, and the adjustments are expected to be made in the coming days.
It remains to be seen if the changes will be in effect during Harry’s next Amsterdam show on Wednesday night. His 10-night residency at the arena concludes on 5 June.
