Hilltop Hoods’ Auction Raises ,000 For Cancer Charity

Hilltop Hoods‘ tour is over, but the hip-hop artist’s special auction has created a warm afterglow.

At the top of their Never Coming Home national trek, the Hoods launched an online auction giving fans the opportunity to buy signed memorabilia, rarities and one-of-a-kind goodies. All the money raised would benefit their favorite South Australian charity, Lion Hearts Learning, an organization that supports children and their families impacted by cancer and children with low immunity due to health challenges.

On Thursday, March 27, Suffa (Matthew Lambert), MC Pressure (Daniel Smith) and DJ Debris (Barry Francis) announced the auction had raked in more than A$95,000 ($65,000).

“Lion Hearts Learning can now open a new Playgroup/Preschool in the north of Adelaide, giving so many more children in need access to their services,” reads a statement from the group, posted on their socials. “This means more children supported, more families connected, and more moments of joy, learning and belonging for those facing cancer and serious health challenges.”

Among the items that went under the hammer: the 2008 Big Day Out banner, DJ Debris’ signed mixer featured in “Cosby Sweater,” platinum plaques, signed vinyl, and limited collabs with DC Shoes, Zoo York and G-Shock.

“Lion Hearts Learning does incredible work in the community,” Suffa remarked at the start of the auction. “Unfortunately, a lot of families have been impacted by childhood cancer, including Pressure’s, so we’re grateful to be able to help fundraise for a very worthy charity.”

Hailing from Adelaide, the Hoods boast more career entries on triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown (with 23), a fine gauge of their connection with young music fans, across decades. They’re on a streak of six straight ARIA No. 1 albums, beginning with The Hard Road in 2006, through to their most recent effort, 2025’s Fall From The Light (via Island/Universal).

With their tally of seven total leaders, HTH stand alone as the Australian band with the most No. 1s, besting the likes of AC/DC, Powderfinger, Cold Chisel and Silverchair. Along the way, they’ve shifted over 1.1 million albums, 1.9 billion global streams, collected 10 ARIA Awards and six APRA Music Awards, and a lane in their hometown will be re-named in their honor.

Their latest tour, which wrapped up last Saturday, March 21 at Perth’s RAC Arena, was their biggest yet.
