Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds shares new music for his ‘Last Flag’ game

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds has released his very own video game alongside a ten-track album of ‘70s-inspired music.

Last Flag was announced last year and, after a string of beta tests, is finally available to play on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The multiplayer title takes heavy inspiration from the classic Capture The Flag game and has been developed by Night Street Games studio, which was co-founded by Dan Reynolds and his brother Mac.

”Night Street Games is an independent game studio on a mission to build multiplayer games crafted with heart,” reads a press release. The studio’s first game is Last Flag, “a fun-first 5v5 shooter set in a 1970s-inspired game show.”

“Hide your flag. Find the enemy flag. Run it back, then defend for a minute to win it,” explains the game’s description. “Welcome to Last Flag: a fast-paced 5v5 shooter with showstopping contestants, set in a televised competition where strategy, teamwork, and chaos blend in the ultimate game of Capture the Flag.”

Dan Reynolds has also created Last Flag’s original soundtrack alongside Imagine Dragons’ guitarist Wayne Sermon, songwriter JT Daly and singer Marcos Issaak. The ten-track album is available to download now on Steam.

“Relive all your favorite game moments in a soundtrack truly worthy of a hit television show in the 1970s.  With period-appropriate instruments and recording techniques, this collection of original songs feels like it belongs anywhere but in a shooter game in 2026,” reads a description. “From the passionate plea of Alejandro’s ‘Blood of My Blood’ to the Wonka-esque dreamy soundscape of the ‘Fex TV Theme’, sit back and marinate in the uncanny world of Last Flag.”

To celebrate the game’s launch, Dan Reynolds’ twelve original demos for the Last Flag soundtrack have also been made available. Check it out here.

Back in 2014, Imagine Dragons performed a Legend Of Zelda medley with iconic Nintendo composer Koji Kondo at The Game Awards. “I geeked out harder on that than when we played in front of [Paul] McCartney,” Reynolds admitted afterwards. Imagine Dragons’ music has also been used in trailers for the Nintendo Switch, and the band have written tracks for Starfield, League Of Legends and Netflix’s Arcane tv show. Dan Reynolds has also been late for his own gigs because he was so caught up in playing League Of Legends.

Explaining why they decided to make a game inspired by Capture The Flag, Mac Reynolds said:  “We grew up playing Capture The Flag in the woods at night. I’ve thought about that experience a lot over the years.”

“Last Flag is really more about hide-and-seek, strategy, and outsmarting your opponent. Capture the Flag comes first and shooter second,” he added via the Epic Games blog. “You don’t have to be a great shooter to participate in the game.”

In other news Ben Jordan, one of the actors behind Peter Parker in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series, has teased that work has started on a new game.
