Jack Osbourne shares how mum Sharon is coping after Ozzy’s death

Jack Osbourne has shared how his mother Sharon is coping after her husband’s death.

The Black Sabbath frontman’s youngest son opened up on their family’s grief journey since losing his father to a heart attack in July.

“It’s just a lot of checking in with each other daily and rolling through the emotions of it all,” Jack, 39, told Rolling Stone in an interview published 9 October. “Just knowing that, hey, someone else is feeling similar to the way I do – meaning my sisters or my mom – is so helpful.”

As for his mother, Sharon, 73, Jack said she had had good and bad days since losing her husband of 43 years.

“She’s OK, but she’s not OK,” he explained. “It’s ups and downs. She’s just trying to figure out where to go from here, how to navigate, what’s the new norm, what’s the new baseline, ‘What do I do without my person?'”

Fortunately, Jack said, Sharon was surrounded by friends and family to help her carry on.

“She’s got a lot of love and support around her,” he explained.

Jack also declared his father would have wanted his loved ones to move forward with their lives rather than wallowing in sadness.

“The amount of times I could just hear him going, ‘What are you all crying for?’ is endless,” Jack reflected. “He would think this is all so ridiculous.”
