Jack White has threatened to sue the Trump campaign after they used Seven Nation Army in a promotional post.
The White Stripes singer has taken to social media to express his anger that his music was used without his permission.
His song, Seven Nation Army, was used in a video alongside Donald Trump walking along to the beat of the music.
“Don’t even think about using my music you fascists,” Jack captioned his Instagram post. “Have a great day at work today Margo Martin.”
He added, “A double f**k you DonOLD for insulting our nation’s veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family’s vote immediately from that if anything makes sense anymore.”
He was referring to an alleged physical altercation during Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery where members of his staff were accused of breaking the rules of unauthorised photography. CNN confirmed a “report was filed.”
Jack, 49, finished the post by revealing there is a lawsuit coming Trump’s way, “to add to your five thousand others.”
Jack is one of several musicians who have complained about their music being used without permission as part of Trump’s presidential campaign.
Universal Music has given official legal notice to the campaign due to their unauthorised use of ABBA songs. Celine Dion and the Foo Fighters have also publicly stated they had not allowed their music to be used, despite it being played at rallies during the campaign.
