Jackson Wang’s MAGIC MAN 2 Is Where Happiness Prevails: Best Moments From His Brooklyn Show

Three years after lighting up the stage at Barclays Center for his first tour, Jackson Wang partied it up once more at the iconic Brooklyn, New York, venue on Friday (April 10). Not only was it a night full of explosive fun, but it also brought Wang’s own interesting psyche into focus.

The concert comes nearly a year after the release of his third solo album, MAGIC MAN 2. Wang previously talked to Billboard about how he took a year off to gather his thoughts on where he stood as an artist, but more importantly, as a human. Using his alter ego of MAGIC MAN, he explored who he really was inside — from the dark and gritty experiences of the music industry that he went through as a member of GOT7 and a solo artist, to perpetual vulnerability and ultimately, recognizing and accepting of all those complicated feelings.

“I wish I could find peace,” Wang’s raw vocals reverberated throughout the arena as he sang “Everything.” “In my mind where the doubt and the pain intertwine/ I don’t know if the life that I’m living is mine.”

The 32-year-old singer constantly proves to be an outstanding performer and creative visionary throughout all of his solo projects. While his previous two albums are deeply personal, what he cares about the most is making his fans happy.

On Friday night, Wang declared that the tour would be a form of escapism for all the attendees. He imparted some words of wisdom in a chaotic time, “The world is crazy right now. Everyone is stressed. I want you guys to treat yourselves better. [Being] selfish is not a bad thing,” before getting real with the crowd, “Sorry that this concert isn’t as commercial as you thought.”

Check out the seven best moments from Jackson Wang’s Brooklyn concert below.

  • Floating “High Alone” & Dynamic Choreography

Wang started off the set with a bang when he suspended himself in midair for “High Alone.” For nearly half the song, he lay completely still as dancers circled him like crows below. He gradually transitioned into slow, languid movements before being devoured below. This wasn’t the only time that the stage made use of air space. Dancers from the dance crew Kinjaz also used wires to sporadically float. They also popped up from under trapped doors dressed like different versions of Magic Man, making the alter ego inescapable.

  • Special Treat for Fans

On social media, Magic Man concerts are essentially known for Wang’s viral and sexy interactions with his fans. For a string of three unreleased songs — “Shadows on the Wall,” “Contact” and “Closer” — Wang’s dancers brought four lucky fans on stage to sit down and enjoy the singer’s full attention on them. While some fans were understandably flustered from the singer’s body rolls and skin contact, these Brooklyn fans embraced the role well and ate it right up.

  • Ethereal Lights Everywhere

Most concerts led by Asian acts opt for light sticks, but to make the concert immersive, fans were given free light accessories that can be attached to the tips of their fingers. The arena lit up during the mellowed-out song “Long Gone” while the crowd waved both their arms alongside their phone flashlights. In a moment of full gratitude with a shot of Hennessy in his hand, Wang said in the spotlight, “Thank you for spending the time and effort to give me this opportunity to perform and share my stories for all of you.”

  • Life is Great, You Gotta Celebrate Sometimes

Wang made it his mission to keep the energy levels at an all-time high by calling out sections of the venue that weren’t hyped as much as they should be. “I understand the city is busy, but when you guys come here tonight, you better stand the f—k up,” he yelled before erupting into the classic 88rising hit “TITANIC.” Even when he was transitioning to the laidback single “GBAD,” Wang made sure that everyone was on their feet and screaming the chorus from the top of their lungs.

  • Remembering His Roots

Winding down with a heartfelt VCR, Wang explained the whole journey of approaching Magic Man with footage from his childhood, his early days in GOT7, his historic Coachella performances, and now. He emphasized how his parents were constantly supportive throughout his career. Several voicemails from “Dear:” rang throughout the venue with a childhood picture of Wang and his parents in full view. It wasn’t until Wang settled into singing “Sophie Ricky,” named after his parents, and “Made Me a Man,” that he visibly choked up and shed some tears for the people who love him the most.

  • Goodbye, MAGIC MAN — Hello, Sex God

Before departing the stage, Wang teased the future ahead with his new album. He revealed that the first song off the project is “Sex God.” The song featuring Pusha T and produced by Pharrell Williams debuted at the Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2026 Show at Paris Fashion Week, but Wang confirmed that it would usher in a new era to shed away Magic Man. “That’s how you know, we don’t give a f—k anymore.”

  • Ain’t No Party Like a Jackson Wang Party

For his last show in the U.S., Wang pulled all the stops and personally handpicked members from the crowd to join him on stage to dance. Not only did he pick dedicated fans in the front, but he paraded around the floor of the arena to choose standouts from the second and third floors. Soon after, the stage was flooded with fans from all walks of life, like the viral thoseLEDGirls who regularly dance at K-pop concerts with their light-up outfits, to boyfriends of fangirls, and emotional fans who traveled from coast to coast to see him. The encore felt like an endless party with different EDM remixes of “BUCK,” “Access” and “GBAD” and it was guaranteed that no one was sitting in their seat.
