Jake and Logan Paul have shared vastly different outlooks towards Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, with the former urging followers not to watch the performance.
The Puerto Rican superstar headlined the halftime show at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara last night (Sunday February 8), and became the first Latin male artist, and the first artist performing primarily in Spanish, ever to take the prestigious slot.
His set celebrated Latin music, and saw an impressive number of star-studded guest appearances, including from Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba and Karol G – who were spotted among the backing dancers – and from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, who both sang during the set.

In the run up to the event, there has been controversy over the decision to enlist Bad Bunny, with the singer coming under personal attack from the MAGA movement, and from Donald Trump, who called the decision “crazy” and claimed that he had “never heard” of him.
One of the President’s advisers then confirmed that ICE would be present at the performance – which carried added poignancy as Bad Bunny previously said he would not be touring in the US due to fears over ICE agents raiding the concerts – and Turning Point USA also held an ‘All American Halftime Show’ at the same time with Kid Rock headlining.
Donald Trump then went on to hit out at the performance again, branding it a “slap in the face” for America, and Jake Paul also took to social media to criticise the NFL for choosing the Puerto Rican star.

Taking to X/Twitter, Jake Paul told his 4.4million followers that he would be “purposefully turning off the halftime show” as he “cannot support” Bad Bunny, who he described as “a fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America”.
He also urged his followers to come “together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences” – encouraging them to turn off the television during Bad Bunny’s set and try to knock the viewership numbers as a result.
“Realise you have power. Turn off this halftime,” he added.
However, while Jake Paul was highly critical of the ‘EoO’ singer for performing at this year’s Super Bowl, his brother Logan came forward to clarify that he doesn’t have the same stance, and was much more supportive of the choice of headliner.
“I love my brother but I don’t agree with this,” he wrote. “Puerto Ricans are Americans and I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island.”

As well as an impressive number of guests and an elaborate set filled with Puerto Rican pride, the slot also saw Bad Bunny give one of the three Grammys he won last week to a young boy, and there was also a legitimate wedding that took place during the performance.
Towards the end of the set, he declared, “God bless America”, before listing off a number of Latin American countries, honouring the people and music that he had brought to one of America’s showpiece events of the year.
As he left the field, he held up a football to the camera, with the words, “Together we are America” printed on it, while the big screen behind him read: “The only thing more powerful than hate is love”.
As well as Logan Paul, others to celebrate Bad Bunny for his set included Rosalía, Doechii, Jennifer Lopez, and more, and country stars Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves also made swipes at the alternate halftime show organised by Turning Point.
