Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart Surprise Crowd During Ludacris Set at Carbone Beach Event in Miami

Ludacris surprised a star-studded crowd in Miami over the weekend as American Express and Carbone returned for the fifth year of their “Carbone Beach” dinner series on the sand.

Ludacris performed on the first night of the weekend-long supper club event, which drew guests such as Hailey Bieber, Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, Alix Earle, Draymond Green, Kevin O’Leary, Stassi Schroeder, Braxton Berrios and Michael Porter Jr., among others. The rapper took to the stage shortly after 11 p.m., performing hits including “Stand Up,” “Area Codes” and “Act a Fool” from the “2 Fast 2 Furious” soundtrack, along with his verses from hits such as Fergie’s “Glamorous” and the Usher and Lil’ Jon collab, “Yeah.”

Ludacris was celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Back for the First Time, and he had the crowd passionately singing along to hits such as “What’s Your Fantasy,” which still hold up more than two decades later. He also performed a new single, “Pull Over,” which he released earlier this year.

“I’ve got some surprises,” the rapper teased midway through his set, before bringing out Fat Joe to perform “Lean Back” and “All the Way Up.” The cameos continued as Wyclef Jean appeared on stage to perform the Fugees’ hit, “Ready or Not,” while Miami local DJ Khaled joined Ludacris later on for the remix to their 2010 collab, “All I Do Is Win.”

The biggest surprise came toward the end of night as Ludacris spotted dinner guest Jamie Foxx in the audience and playfully goaded the actor into coming on stage to perform his song “Unpredictable,” which features a Ludacris rap verse. The DJ then transitioned into Foxx’s hits “Gold Digger” and “Blame It,” the latter of which brought another surprise guest when Kevin Hart ran on to the stage to sing and dance with the crew.

The Amex x Carbone Beach event was seemingly the place to see and be seen over F1 weekend, as the Saturday and Sunday night events brought out everyone from Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, to The Real Housewives of Miami stars, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump. Saturday night’s performer was Snoop Dogg, while guests at Sunday night’s finale dinner were treated to a 75-minute set from John Summit.

Many of the guests made their way to E11EVEN Miami to keep the party going, with Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and Hart seen partying at the Magic City ultraclub, along with Jessica Alba and boyfriend Danny Ramirez.

This was the fifth year of the Carbone Beach activation, which sees the Major Food Group hotspot pop up in a specially constructed marquee in Miami Beach for three nights of fine dining, music and immersive entertainment. Reservations were made available exclusively for American Express cardholders.
